It has been a tremendous honor to lead the Department of Community and Preventive dentistry at my alma mater. In the field of public health and community dentistry, I have ten years of expertise. I also had the opportunity of working with WHO and acquired epidemiological experience. Since 2018, in NUMS University, I've been implementing School Oral Hygiene Awareness Camps.

Without adequate education, understanding, and application of public health principles in any community, the slogan "health for all" remains elusive. Motivated by this reality, I've always been a firm believer in using public health concepts for health promotion and education. At the community and preventive dentistry department, we seek to instil in our students the ideals and principles of community dentistry, with a strong emphasis on preventative methods that can significantly lower the burden of disease in our society. This will have a beneficial influence on Pakistan's and the world's health indices.

Community & Preventive Dentistry aims to educate students on the etiology and epidemiology of dental diseases so that they learn how to prevent oral diseases, promote oral health, and contribute to society's organized efforts to improve the population's quality of life.

It assists students in comprehending oral health programs, as well as the planning and organizational assessment of dental services. Basic research methodologies and statistical principles are also taught for dental research.

Community Dentistry is a fundamental scientific course offered in the BDS second professional year. The subject's major goal is to promote proper oral hygiene and public health awareness through community-based activities.
