It is with great honour and delight that I welcome you all, as Head of the Department of Physiology, to one of the most distinguished and esteemed medical college of Pakistan. AM College has a strong tradition of producing some of the best medical professionals in the country. Basic Medical Sciences play a key role in winning this laurel for this institute.

The department of Physiology of AM College has the distinction of being one of the leading department in the country. It has a well laid infrastructure, state of the art equipment and the most highly qualified faculty members with PhDs from abroad and in country, FCPS and MPhils. We as faculty members play a pivotal role in imparting medical knowledge to fresh medical students. The department conducts under graduate and post graduate programs and also encourages students to pursue research projects in line with the latest trends as well as local requirements.

Being a graduate of this prestigious institute, it is a matter of pride for me, to uphold the traditions of AM college, and provide an atmosphere to all students where they can learn and grow into an important member of this eminent fraternity.

Since the establishment of Army Medical College the physiology Department is teaching its disciplines to the undergraduates of MBBS (1977), to BDS (1998) postgraduates of FCPS and MPhil and to the paramedics of BSC Nursing as per PMC & HEC Criteria.
