Amcolian Debating and Literary Society (ADLS)

1. Introduction

The Amcolian Debating and Literary Society (ADLS), though formally established later, carries forward the long-standing tradition of debating that has been an integral part of Army Medical College since its early years. Rooted in a legacy of excellence, ADLS has long been the voice and platform for articulate, confident, and intellectually engaged medical students.

Our debaters have earned national recognition, securing top positions in prestigious declamation contests and model united nations (MUN) conferences across Pakistan. Within the college, ADLS hosts a series of annual events that not only nurture eloquence and critical thinking but also contribute to the overall Company Points in the various challenge shields, where six companies vie each year for academic and extracurricular supremacy.

Through spirited debates, literary pursuits, and inter-company as well as intercollege contests, ADLS fosters the development of well-rounded medical professionals—individuals who can think deeply, speak persuasively, and lead effectively. ADLS continues to uphold its proud tradition of turning thought into expression and passion into purpose.
