From its foundation in 1977 to becoming a leading medical institution

1977

Army Medical College was established at Rawalpindi as a residential institution, initially affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad for the MBBS degree.

1981

The first batch of 100 MBBS students graduated. The college was recognized by GMC-UK. Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) course was also started the same year.

1998

The college became a constituent college of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).

2001

Started postgraduate training programs (MPhil, PhD, and FCPS) in basic medical sciences, marking a new era of academic excellence.

2016

Army Medical College became a constituent college of National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), strengthening its academic and research profile.
