Admission Criteria
Army Medical College and the Dental Section impart medical education to two categories of students.
NUMS Cadets
- Passing MDCAT for NUMS is mandatory.
- The pass percentage for MDCAT for NUMS is 55% for admission in MBBS Program and 45% for BDS Program.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks in FSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent, having at least twelve years of education in at least three subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
Weightage Formula
- MDCAT for NUMS: 50%
- HSSC/FSC (Pre-Medical)/Equivalent: 40%
- SSC/Matric/Equivalent: 10%
Medical Cadets
They are specially trained to serve in the medical services of the Armed Forces, and therefore they have to be selected and trained to suit the specific requirements of the Armed Forces.
The selection criteria for this category include:
- MDCAT Examination
- A special test conducted by Army recruitment centers
- A thorough medical examination
