About the Library

Army Medical College is home to a state-of-the-art and modern academic library, serving a large number of undergraduates, postgraduates and faculty members. The library is air conditioned and spacious, spreading over 10,000 sq feet with a seating capacity for more than 150 readers and provides the latest medical books and journals to its members.

This Library provides a "gateway" for the students and researchers to access various resources in a research oriented environment with a well stocked and up-to-date reference section and online information services. It has a collection of over 24,000 books and 54 personal computers with access to internet and HEC Digital Library for all members.

Lib also receives 50 foreign / local medical journals of repute. World Health Organizationโ€™s (WHO) publication are also available in the library. It also has an access to the HEC Digital Library that provides full text access to 35,000 journals and 45,000 books. AM College library contains an in-depth collection of high value research material.Beside medical literature, a substantial number of books on General Knowledge, Sociology, Psychology, Religion and Fiction are also available. This library is managed by a team of dedicated, qualified and experienced staff, committed to providing quality service to the members.

Library Facilities

Scanning Facility

One scanner is available in the library for scanning purpose.

Borrowing

All the registered users of NUMS are entitled to borrow books. Lending privileges differ for various categories. Please enquire at the Circulation desk.

Reference

Library provides efficient and reliable reference services under the supervision of professional staff. Users may have their addressed through queries telephone call or e-mail to the Library Officer.

Reader Advisory

Twenty two Personal Computers are also available in the college library for browsing internet /online databases of Higher Education Commissions Digital Library.
